Camping upstate New York State

Hi, my name is Jeff, and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations.     http://mycampingvacations.com                                                                                                                       There are many locations to choose from to camp in upstate New York. Many rivers, lakes and streams and heavily wooded mountains and valleys. Lots of hiking trails and state parks for camping. Review things you need for your camping adventure. So, you don’t forget anything. Various camping locations can be found near a lake or river. Find a good location to set up a tent and camp. Lots of hiking trails in some areas. Have good, cushioned sneakers or boots while hiking. Never hike alone, be with someone or a group.                                                                                Boating, kayaking or canoeing on a river can be a lot of fun. Currents on a river in some areas can be a concern about a boat tipping over. Life jackets while boating is suggested. Someone could get hurt or life threatening in rough water areas. Bring the fishing poles as there are many areas that fishing could be a good spot.  Fishing can be lots of fun and can have a cookout later.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Lots of wildlife and always a good thing the be aware of your surroundings. Keep food put away while your away from the camp and at night while people are sleeping. Don’t want a bear wandering around through a camp looking for food. Usual they stay away from noises like people talking and so on. I have never had a run in with bears while camping. Having a cooler for food and beverages. Clothes for how many days you plan to be away. Having a backpack for change of clothes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Cell phone connection is not always available in some areas. Having a canteen to keep water cold or some sort of bottled water is a good idea. Having bug spray for mosquitoes and other flying insects. Campfires for cooking and at night so you can see a little way. A lantern or flashlights is a good idea to have handy for when it gets dark. Swimming can be a lot of fun and to cool off on hot summer days.                                                            These are some of the areas where someone could plan a vacation.
