Hiking in these mountains be sure to wear cushioned sneakers or boots. A backpack for long hikes and a canteen to keep water cold. Might not have cell phone connection in some areas. To bring a camera for this is a must. Loads of scenery and someone could get lots of pictures from this outing.                                                                                                                   Canoeing or kayak at lake George can be lots of fun and scenery is unbelievable. Boating on a river is a lot of fun but be cautious about rapids and strong currents. Boat ride is available at Lake George. A fishing pole for this is a must. Fishing with a variety of fish to catch. Find a location and pitch a tent. Cooking fish on an open campfire or grill.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Review things you bring to along with you to be sure you don’t forget anything. Lots of locations to take the family for a picnic. Bring a cooler for food and beverages. There are cabins for rent and lodging in the area. Rent a camper or bring yours if you own one. Jump in the water to cool off on a hot summer day.                                                                                                                                Bring a pet on your vacation or weekend getaway. Bug spray is suggested to bring with you on any camping adventure. Be aware of animals that are known to be in the area. Don’t leave food out while away or left out overnight. A lantern is a good idea to bring as campfires emit some light, but to walk around at night. Flashlights are good also.                                                         There are playgrounds for kids. A variety of games to choose from. A community shuttle is available for traveling the area. Miniature golf and soccer games can be played. A pool is located on the grounds.
