A variety of tents to choose from and decide how many you need for how many people are going. Find a good location and pitch a tent. Some hiking can be done or long walks anywhere in the area. While hiking, always have cushioned sneakers or boots. Cell phone connection isn’t always available depending on where you’re camping. Build a campfire and bring a cooler with food and beverages. Foldable chairs and maybe even a small table could be brought.

Flying insect or bug spray may be a good idea to have with you. Campfire emits light at night some and also keeps insects away. A good idea to bring a lantern for night walks or flashlights. Tell stories and jokes around campfire or play any board games. Go for a night swim and the water feels warmer. Always swim with someone nearby for safety reasons. Kids can play hide and seek at night. Listen to music out loud or with earphones. Laser tag games could be lots of fun for kids at night. Tag games, or skipping stones are popular for kids 
Have a picnic and picnic tables are at locations. Someone could get collapsible wash bins to wash plates and utensils after eating. That’s like 2 tubs, one soapy water and the other rinse water so you have dishes washed, so that critters aren’t drawn to your camp site. Don’t leave food out while away from camp or at night while people are sleeping. Many animals in the woods and it’s good to be aware of your surroundings. Have a camera with you to take lots of photos. There’s a beach at the park and take a dip into Lake Ontario on hot summer days. Can go tubing or any flotation device that you can lay or sit on. Canoeing or kayaking on a river or lake can be lots of fun. A motorboat for water skiing is something for excitement. Lots of games could be played at the beach for kids and adults. Volleyball, football, Frisbee or throwing a football around or playing catch with a baseball. Could play ring toss, corn hole, or play horseshoes. Bring fishing poles with you as there are all sorts of fish that can be caught for dinner. At Fair Haven Beach State Park, there are many more things someone could be doing to enjoy there camping experience. These are some of the things someone could be doing on their camping adventure.
