;;Caroga Lake State Park–Camping
UncategorizedHello! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I have camped for many years and like the outdoors. https://mycampingvacationsites.com Caroga Lake State Park 3043 State Highway 29A Caroga Lake, N.Y. 12078 (518) 835-4241 An ideal place for a vacation or weekend getaway. Find a place to set up camp and pitch a tent. Camper or RV someone could rent or bring with them for an adventure. Could bring a power generator for the camper or the camping site for power usage. There are 158 spacious camping sites at the park. Could be cabins and lodging in the area as well. Review things to bring with you on any camping trip.
There’s about a dozen hiking trails in the area. From short hikes too much longer. A heavily wooded area of thick forest with lakes and streams. I would bring a canteen for long hikes and keeps drinking water cold. A backpack for change of clothes and some medical supplies if someone gets hurt or cut. Also, trails would be good for Jogging or bike riding. May not have cell phone connection in some areas. A set of walkie-talkies would be a good substitute. A camera brought is a must for awesome photos At Caroga Lake State Park, Canoeing or Kayaking could be lots of fun. Wear a life jacket is a must for rapids or strong currents and lakes are deep. Bring your fishing poles for this and there are many types of fish to be caught. A campfire to have dinner later and bring a cooler with food and beverages. Cook the fish on a grill that sets over the fire, or a grill is also good. Could have spices to put on your food for a real good meal. Could bring a non-sticking grill basket to cook food over the campfire.
Choose a location and have a picnic or just eat at picnic tables. A couple tubs one with soapy water and the other with rinsing water to wash dishes. Keeps animals away and you don’t want them coming into your camp looking for food. Never leave food out while away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping. Many kinds of animals in the woods and it’s good to be aware and know your surroundings. Go for walks in the woods. Could play board games or cards. Corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes are popular games. Can tell campfire stories. Most parks have playgrounds for kids. Kids can play laser tag a night. Take a swim at night in a lake and the water feels warmer after dark. Could bring a telescope for stargazing and spot constellations. There is a beach at the park and could go for boat rides. Relax and get a tan and read a book. Take a swim on hot summer days. Tubing and rafting on a lake or river are relaxing. Play volleyball and play catch with a football. Throw around a frisbee. Throw around a baseball and play catch with a glove. Could go scuba diving or snorkeling. Water skiing is lots of fun if motorboats are allowed. Pets are allowed with valid proof of rabies vaccination within a year by a veterinarian. Campers can walk dogs on a leash as long as pet is under control. These are some of the things to do on a vacation. Leave a message in the box below if you like or click on my e-mail and message me. Enjoy your camping adventure wherever you camp at.
