Greetings! Im Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and have camped for years.
Wellesley Island State park 44927 Cross Island Road Fineview, New York 13640 A great place to take a vacation or weekend getaway. Locate a place to set up a camp and build a campfire. There are cabins, cottages, and lodging in the area. Can bring a rv or camper and a power generator for the camper or the campsite. The largest camping complex in the thousand island region with 432 campsites. There are 56 campsites for the less rugged campers. Review things to bring with you before going camping. Wellesley Island State Park is located next to the Saint Lawrence River. A sandy beach where people can get sun tans and go swimming. Canoeing or kayaking can be lots of fun and wear a life jacket. Has a full-service marina at the park. Can go water skiing or snorkeling in the deep waters. Go tubing or rafting but be careful of currents on that river. Has long and short hiking trails to choose from and wear cushioned sneakers or boots while hiking. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. Bring your fishing poles and there are many kinds of fish to choose from. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. If you catch any fish can have a cookout for dinner if you like. A good idea to wash dishes in a container of soapy water and rinse water in another container to rinse off dishes. There are lots of animals in the woods and dirty dishes can bring them to your camp looking for food. A good idea not to leave food out while your away from camp or while people are sleeping. Can go for long walks on a path or in the woods. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. There is a playground for the kids. Can play board games or play cards. Corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes are popular games. Play catch with a ball and glove. Throw around a football or frisbee. At night can play laser tag and could be lots of fun for the kids. Use a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Has boat launches and boat rentals available. Has 1 pavilion for $100 and up to 100 people. Max of 2 pets is allowed and to be kept on a leash at all times. A proof of rabies inoculation shall be provided if staff requests.
