Cedar Point State Park Camping

Review things to bring before you leave to go camping. Find a location to set up camp and pitch a tent. Build a campfire and bring along a cooler with food and beverages. There may be cabins and lodging in the area. Bring a rv or a camper for camping. A generator would be good at the camp site for power if needed.                                                                                                                                    At Cedar Point State Park there is a sandy beach to lay on and get a suntan. A 48-acre park with a fishing pier and can watch ocean going vessels. Take a dip in the water on a hot summer day. A canoe, Kayak and motorboats are available to rent or bring your own. Can go tubing or rafting also. Water skiing can be lots of fun. Scuba diving and snorkeling are a popular thing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Bring your fishing poles and all kinds of fish to be caught. Fish from a boat or along the shore. Cook the fish you caught at the campfire for dinner. Then wash your dishes in a container of soapy water and another container with rinsing water. The smell of food attracts hungry animals to your camp. Try not to leave food out while your away from the camp and at night while people are sleeping. Mosquitos and other insects can be a pain and insect repellent are a good idea.                                                                             Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Go for long walks in the woods and on trails. Corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes are popular. Playing board games and cards. Throwing a frisbee, football and playing catch with a ball and glove. Playgrounds for kids are usually at parks. Play volleyball with a group of people. At night kids can play laser tag. Have a telescope and look at the stars and constellations.                                                 Cedar point has 3 pavilions/tents. Prices range from $50-$100 and can accommodate 50-100 people. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed and must be crated or on a leash at all times.
