Wallowa Lake State Park OR Camping

Greetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and have camped for many years since I was a teenager. Wallowa Lake State Park 72214 Marina Ln Joseph, OR 97846 (541) 432 4185 A real nice place to take a vacation. I’d review things to be sure you have everything, so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. Bring a cooler with food and beverages. A rv or camper would be good to have on this vacation. A power generator would be good to have for power to the camper or site. There are probably cabins and lodging in the area. At Wallowa Lake state park someone could go hiking and there are many trails. A heavily wooded thick forest area with creeks and rivers and a lake. Short trails for a couple hours hike and long trails for much longer hikes. Could even go on a long hike and set up a temporary camp for the night before continuing the next day. A good idea to wear good, cushioned sneakers or boots for any hiking. Cell phone connection might not be available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Having a camera for awesome photos to take to look at later. Bring your fishing poles as there are many kinds of fish in the lake and streams. Go fishing from a boat or along the shore. After fishing, cook your catch on a campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Many animals in the woods and they can smell food from a long way. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and take a dip in the water to cool off. Bring a hammock to relax on and maybe read a book. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Can go canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the lake or river. Go tubing or rafting down a river is lots of fun. Wear a life jacket would be a smart idea. Scuba diving and snorkeling are exciting. Water skiing is a blast. Could go for long walks through the woods or on trails. Jogging and bicycling are popular. Go on a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park to eat at. Many activities people could be doing. Playing corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or playing cards. A group of people can play volleyball. There are playgrounds at the park for kids. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. At night kids can play laser tag games. Bring a telescope and look at the stars and constellations. Play hide and seek and tag games. Pets are allowed and there is a maximum of 2 dogs allowed.
