Roper Lake AZ Camping
UncategorizedI’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and camping. Roper Lake State Park Fishing, Hiking, Park 101 East Roper Lake Rd. Safford Az 85546 (928) 428-6760 A real good place to take a vacation. Review things you bring with, so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages. An rv-camper would be good to rent or bring for a camping adventure. A power generator is always good to have particular if the campsite area does not have a hook up. There are 8 cabins that can be rented, and all have power and ac. There may be lodging in the area. At Roper Lake State Park, there are hiking trails available and is a place for bird watching. The park is in scenic southeast Arizona. Take long or short hikes and bring a canteen with you for cold water to drink. Could bring a backpack with you for an overnight temporary camp and continue the next day. Wear good sneakers or boots for any hiking adventure. Cell phones may not have connection and a set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Bring a camera with you for some awesome photos to look at later. Has a beach to lay on and get a suntan on hot summer days and take a dip in Roper Lake. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Go tubing or rafting and is lots of fun. Scuba diving and snorkeling. Windsurfing may be a good idea depending what area you’re at is known to be windy. Canoeing, kayaking, and boating on a river or lake for fun. Wear a life jacket as the water is deep and rivers have currents, rapids and a boat can tip over. Water skiing is a blast, but at this location only small electric motorboats are allowed. Bring your fishing poles as the lake is stocked with Largemouth bass and Rainbow trout. Can go fishing from a boat or along the shore. After, if you catch anything, bring fish back to the campsite to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash dishes in a couple containers. One with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Hungry animals can smell food from a long way away and can be drawn to your camp. Try not to leave food out while away from your camp and at night while people are sleeping. Insect repellent may be a good idea as there are mosquitos and other bugs. Campfire smoke keeps bugs away. A lantern at night is a good idea and can walk around and see things pretty good with. Take a long walk on a path or woods for sight see. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. Activities could be playing corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Throw around a frisbee or a football. Play catch with a ball and glove. Volleyball and softball with groups of people. There are playgrounds at parks for kids. At night kids can play laser tag and hide and seek. Can look at stars with telescope and constellations. Pets are allowed and only in certain cabins. Call about pet policy and where pets are allowed. These are some of the activities for at camping. Leave a message if you like at the comment section below. You can click on my e-mail to send a message. I like your posts and I love camping so this read was really good for me. I used a different technique to wash my dishes but I am interested in trying out the container method that you talked about. What are some other cool places in Arizona to camp in. I would be really interested in learning more about that.
Hi again! Havasu Falls would be a place to go to. I have not been there but have talked to people who have taken a week or two there and they liked the adventure or vacation. It’s at the Grand Canyon or the canyon isn’t far away and that would be interesting. Coconino National Park Az would also be something to have in mind depending on your choice of where to want to be at. Some places there are really desolate in some areas. There’s also Grand Canyon Williams Az camping.
