Review things you will bring with you on your camping adventure. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold. A rv-camper to bring with you and a generator to have in case needed as all sites do not have power connection. Has vacation cabin rentals and should be lodging in the area.                                                                                                                 At Kentucky Lakes you can bring or rent a canoe, kayak, and boats. Go tubing or rafting and relax and enjoy the day. Water skiing and wind surfing are a blast. Pull an innertube behind a motorboat can be lots of fun. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular. Rent a motorboat at a marina and have some fun. Rent a paddle boat and paddle around the lake.

               Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish at the lake. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. After fishing return to campsite and cook fish on the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many animals in the area and can smell food from a distance.                                                                                                                        Wash your dishes in two containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Clean dishes cut back on smell that draws the animals. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite and at night when people are sleeping.                                                             Lay out and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water on a hot summer day to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. There are many activities people can do on vacation. Corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes are popular. Throw a frisbee or football. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball and softball.                                               There are playgrounds where the kids can play. At night can play laser tag and hide and seek. A telescope to look at the stars and constellations.

            Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park.  Go on hikes in the woods on trails. Jogging, mountain bike, and bicycles are popular activities. Wear good boots or sneakers with cushion soles for those long walks. A canteen is a good idea to have with chilled water to drink.                                                                                                           The Kentucky Lake area offers dozens of miles of trails. Can bring a backpack for a temporary camp and continue the next day. There are a couple new trails at the park along with several other trails. There may not be cell phone connection in some areas. A walkie talkie set would be a good substitute.                                         These are some of the activities at the park and there are more.
