Falls Creek KY Camping
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and have camped for years. https://mycampingvacationsites.com 1943 KY-90 Corbin KY 40701 (800) 542-7238 A nice place with lots of scenery to take a vacation. Review things you bring along to be sure you don’t forget anything. Find a location for your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. Has 31 campsites near the shoreline. A cooler with food and beverages kept chilled. Rent or bring a rv-camper with a generator for power. Some places don’t have any eclectic hook ups and a generator would be really good to have. There are several cabins that can be rented and there is lodging in the area. Falls Creek is in the Olympic National Park. There are many waterfalls and hiking trails within walking distance. Has 10 miles of hiking trails to choose from. Wear good cushioned sole boots or sneakers for hiking. Could go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue the next day. A canteen for long hikes to have cold drinking water. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Flying insect repellent would be a good idea to bring along. A camera for awesome photos to look at later. A canoe, kayak, or boat can be lots of fun on a river or lake. A river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over a boat. A life jacket to wear for safety is a good idea. Go tubing or rafting and flow with the current downstream. Water skiing and wind surfing are a blast. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Bring fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Take any fish you catch back to camp and have a cookout over a campfire or rill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers. One with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many animals in the woods and the smell of food can draw them near your camp. Try not to leave food out while away from camp or at night while people are sleeping. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and take a dip in the water to cool off. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and go sight see. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. Can play board games and cards. Corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes are popular. Throw a frisbee or a football around. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball and softball. There are playgrounds at parks for the kids. At night kids can play laser tag and hide and seek. A telescope to view stars and the constellations. Pet policy- Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pets are not allowed on any trails that share Nature preserves. There are signs posted in non-entry areas. There are fees at lodging and cottage areas for pets. Feel free to leave a message in the comment section at the bottom. Great article! I appreciate the detailed information provided on the various activities and amenities available at the camping site. I was particularly interested in the hiking trails and water activities, such as canoeing and fishing. However, I am curious about the availability of restroom facilities at the site. Are there any public restrooms or will we need to bring our own portable toilet? Overall, this article has provided me with a lot of helpful information to consider when planning my next camping trip.
Hello! They have a flush toilet available at the campground. Also are cabins for rent that have the full bathroom with shower and toilets.
