Taylorsville Lake State Park Ky Camping
UncategorizedGreetings! My name is Jeff, and this is my site. I like the outdoors and to camp at different locations. https://mycampingvacationsites.com 1320 Park Rd. Mount Eden Ky 40046 (502) 407-8713 A nice place to take a vacation. Review things to bring with you so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place for your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler for food and beverages to be kept cold. A RV-Camper with a generator to have if there is no power hook up at the site. The camp has 45 spacious rv camper sites. There are many cabins you can rent and also lodging in the area. Taylorsville Lake State Park has a 1,200-acre park that has some of the most beautiful country around. Taylorsville lake is a 3050-acre lake. Has a 24-mile multi system trail for hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. Wear your hiking shoes or boots for this adventure. Could go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue hiking the next day. A canteen for hikes to have cold water to drink along the way. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. There’s a lot to sight see. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. A camera to take awesome photos to look at later. Insect repellent for mosquitoes and other insects. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away. A canoe, kayak is lots of fun and can paddle around on the lake. Can go scuba diving and snorkeling. Water skiing and wind surfing are lots of fun. Wear a life jacket for safety reasons. Bring your fishing poles as there are lots of species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. A Kentucky fishing license is required. Take your catch back to camp and cook fish over the campfire or grill for dinner. A good idea to wash your dishes in a couple tubs, one with soapy water and the other with rinsing water. Try to keep food put away while away from the camp and when people are sleeping at night.
Lay out in the sun and get a suntan and take a dip in the water on hot summer days. At night the water feels warmer to swim in. Can go inner tubing and rafting on a lake or river. There are excellent birding activities throughout the park. Many species of birds including the American bald eagle. There are two playgrounds at the park for the kids. At night kids can play laser tag and hide and seek. Skip stones along the lake. Look at the stars and constellations with a telescope. Take walks through the woods on trails and paths. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes are popular. Throw a football or frisbee around. Play catch with a ball and glove. Volleyball and softball for groups of people. Pet policy- Dogs are allowed at the park and must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Dogs are allowed at the tent sites. There are no pet fees. These are some of the activities you can enjoy. Leave a message in the comment section at the bottom of the page. Click on my e-mail site and can leave a message. Hello! I like to camp near a river or lake whenever I go camping. Easy access for fishing and canoeing. In a heavily wooded area for hiking and sight see for anyone.
