Land Between the Lakes Camping KY

                                                                                                                      Greetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. Review things you want to bring for the camp out. Look for a place to set up your Campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler for food and beverages to be kept cold. A RV-Camper with a power generator in case there are no hook ups for power. There are cabins in the area to rent. Lake Barkley resort and other lodging in the area.                                                                                                                                At Land Between the Lakes there are more than 200 miles of hiking trails. A good idea to bring good hiking boots for this hike. Can go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue your hike the next day. A canteen would be a good idea to have cold drinking water along the way.                                                                             Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Plenty of sight see and a camera to take awesome photos to look at later. Insect repellent may be a good idea to have as there are mosquitos and other insects.                                                         Canoe, kayak, are lots of fun and can paddle around to any location on the lake. A life jacket to have safety in mind while boating. Can go scuba diving and snorkekeling are lots of fun. Waterskiing and wind surfing are popular activities.                                         Bring your fishing poles as there are several species of fish to catch. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout later after and maybe cook fish you catch over the campfire or grill for dinner.                                                                                                                       Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods and can smell food from a distance. Having clean dishes and might not attract animals to your camp. Try and not leave food out while your away from your camp and at night while people are sleeping.                                                                                                                     You can lay along the shore and get a suntan on hot summer days and take a dip in the water to cool off. Innertubing and rafting are a fun time. Can play beach volleyball or soccer with groups of people.                                                                                                                                                                 Take long walks in the woods on paths or a trail. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Many activities such as Corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. A board game or play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove.                                                                                                                     There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. At night they can play laser tag and hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations.                                                                                         Pet policy- Pets are allowed on trails and must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under physical control at all times.                                                                                                                                           These are some of the activities and there are more you can do on a vacation.
