Review things to bring so that you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a camping tent. A cooler for food and beverages kept cold. The park sets in a 310-acre forest and flat land. A RV-Camper with a power generator in case there are no hook-ups available. There are cabins and lodging in the area.                                                                                                                                             A.W. Marion State Park is located next to Lake Hargus and has a marina. There is a small hiking trail in the area. Wear good boots or sneakers hiking anywhere. A canteen for cold water to drink along your hike.                                                                                                          Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies can be a good replacement. Lots of animals and a scenic view. A camera for awesome photos to look at later. Insect repellent for mosquitoes and other flying insects. A campfires smoke does help keep flying insects away.                                     Lay along the shore and get a suntan on a hot summer day and take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. A canoe, kayak, are lots of fun to paddle around a lake. A life jacket would be a good idea to have. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sail are a blast.                                                                                                                                       Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish in the lake. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Take your catch back to camp for a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner.                Wash the dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods and can smell food from a distance. Clean dishes cuts back on the smell. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp and at night when people are sleeping.                                                    Go for long walks and look at scenery on a path or trail. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Throw a football around or a frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball and soccer.                                There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. At night they can play laser tag and hide and seek. Skip a stone across the river to see how many skips you can get.
