Great Seal State Park OH camping

Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold. A RV-camper with a generator in case power hookups are not available. There are cabins to rent and lodging in the area.                                                                                                     Great Seal State Park has 1,682 acres of heavily forested land at the park. There are several small trails including a fitness trail for horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking. Wear good boots or sneakers for hiking anywhere. A canteen to have cold water to drink along the hike.                                                                                                                     Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. While hiking and sight see have a camera to take awesome photos to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from the camp.                                                                      Lay out along the shore and get a suntan on hot summer days and take a dip in the water to cool off. To swim at night the water feels warmer. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun.                                     Canoe, kayak on a river or lake are lots of fun. Paddle along a lake or stream. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Inner tubing and rafting are a blast.                                                                                         Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish in the water. Wash your dishes in two containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinsing. Many species of animals in the woods and they can smell food from a distance and may come to your camp looking for food. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp and at night when people are sleeping.                                                                                            Take long walks in the woods on paths and trails and look at scenery. Have a picnic and there are many picnic tables at the park. Lay out on a hammock to relax and read a book.                                    There are lots of activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer.                                                                                                    Pet policy- All pets must be confined, leashed or otherwise under the physical control of a person at all times. Leashes may not exceed 6 feet in length and pets must be well behaved at all times.                                                                                                                                            These are some of the activities you can have at the park.
