Burr Creek State Park OH Camping
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like to camp at different locations. https://mycampingvacationsites.com 10660 Burr Oak Lodge Rd. Glouster OH 45732 (740) 767-2112 A nice place to take a vacation. Review things to bring with you so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler with food and beverages. A RV- camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Rent a cabin and there is lodging in the area.
At Burr Creek State Park there are a couple trails and one of them is a 23-mile loop trail. Wear good boots with decent cushions or sneakers hiking anywhere. A backpack for long trail hikes with a temporary overnight camp to continue the next day. A canteen with cold water to drink on your hiking experience. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie-talkies may be a good substitute. A camera to take awesome photos along your hike looking at scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away.
Canoes, Kayaks, on a river or lake to paddle around where you like. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Water ski and windsailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish in the lake to be caught. Have a cookout after and bring any fish you catch to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are lots of animals in the woods that can smell food. Washing dishes cuts back on the smell that can bring animals to your camp. Try not to leave food out while away from your campsite and at night when people are sleeping.
Lay out on the beach and get a suntan on a hot summer day and take a dip to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or a raft to float around near the beach and relax. A group of people can play volleyball and other games. There are several games you can play such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw a football or frisbee around. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag and hide and seek. Skip rocks on the lake. At night can look at the stars and constellations.
Take long walks in the woods on path or trails. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Pet policy- applies to dogs and cats only. Guests must sign a release and leave a contact number with the front desk, which will only be used to contact you in the event of an emergency. Guests must clean up after their pets and are responsible for any damages caused. These are some of the activities you can do at the park. Leave a message at the bottom in the comment section. Hello,
This looks like a beautiful place to put up our tents and caravan. There seem to be quite some hiking trails in the region, but would there be any trails that are a bit easier to do for teenagers without a lot of experience to go hiking with a backpack? And when is the best season to not get too many mosquitos, because I am always full of mosquito bites whenever I camp near water haha, thanks!
Hello! There is a 3-mile trail in that area for anyone to hike on. Early spring or late summer would be good to go there about mosquitoes. When the temperature gets like 70 degrees because mosquitoes thrive during the hot season. I don’t like getting bit by them either.
I live in Ohio and this looks like a great place to visit. It has everything I love: beaches, walking paths and fishing. I am in my 50’s now and hoping to get back to camping like I did when I was young. There is nothing like catching fish all day and cooking them for dinner near the tent. Thanks for a great article.
