Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept chilled. RV-camper with a generator in case there are not any power hook ups available. There are cabins for rent and lodging in the area.                                                                                           Delaware State Park has many short trails to hike along. Wear good hiking boots or sneakers on the trails. A canteen with cold water to drink. Walking, jogging, mountain bike riding are popular activities on the trail.

          Cell phone connection may not be available in the area. Set of walkie talkies can be a good substitute. A camera to bring along to take awesome photos to look at later. Bug repellent for those nasty mosquitoes.            Canoes, kayaks, are good to paddle around on a lake or river and see scenery. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Snorkeling and scuba diving can be lots of fun.                                                                                     Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to catch. Can fish on a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner.                 Wash the dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance. Washing the dishes helps to cut the smell that could bring them to your campsite.                                                                                                             OIP 2024 12 29T120810.768             Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or a raft to float around on the lake near the shore.                                                                                                       There are many activities people can play such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Play board games or card games. Groups of people can play volleyball.                                                                                 download 19            There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play at. At night can play laser tag or hide and seek. A telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on the lake or on the river.                                                                                                                                            Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. Take long walks in the woods on trails or on paths. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book.                                                                                                   Pet policy- Pets on a leash no longer than six feet are allowed. Pets are not allowed to swim in the water at the beach. All pets must be licensed and proof of rabies vaccination. You must clean up after your pet. Honor all signs that prohibit pet entry. Guide dogs are permitted in all pedestrian areas.                                                                                                                                                                               These are some of the activities you can have while camping at the park.
