;;Havasu Falls Grand Canyon Az camping
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp a different location. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com Hualapai Hilltop Supai Az 86435 (928) 448-2141 A nice place to take a vacation away from the everyday things. Review things to bring along with you so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Rv-Camper with a generator in case there is not any power hook-ups available. There are cabins to rent and there is Havasupai Lodge and other lodging in the area. There are several trails, and 3 or 4 large water falls along the trails. Wear good hiking boots or sneakers on trails. Canteen with water to drink along your hiking adventure. Jogging, walking, and Mountain bike riding are popular activities.
There may not be any cell phone connection in some areas. Set of walkie talkies to talk to others in your camping group could be a good substitute. Insect repellent brought along for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. A camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Canoes, kayaks, would be lots of fun to paddle down a river and follow the current flow. There are strong currents and rapids that can tip over a boat. Wearing life jackets would be a good idea for safety. Scuba diving and snorkeling are fun activities. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish in a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many species of animals in the area that can smell food being cooked or left out. A good idea to wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Cuts the smell that does travel a way that animals can smell food left out also. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Has an aqua blue color water that flows over orange color cliffs as a waterfall. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have and innertube or raft to play around in the water. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on the river or a lake for fun. Pet policy- Dogs are allowed at the park and must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet at the resort and surrounding areas. There is a 2-pet limit. Aggressive breeds are not permitted and there are pet fees. These are some of the activities and there is much more. Leave a message if you like in the comment section at the bottom. Click on my e-mail to leave a message also. As a camping enthusiast, I enjoyed reading this post about preparing for a camping trip. The author did a great job of highlighting important items to bring along, such as a cooler, canteen, and proper footwear. I also appreciate the mention of potential animal encounters and the importance of washing dishes to reduce the smell of food. Overall, this post has got me excited for my next camping trip and reminded me to be prepared for any situation.
We did a lot of camping in years gone by. I liked your suggestions of all the things you don’t want to forget to take with you. I would want to have a flashlight with me. It is a great idea to bring along things to keep yourself occupied. I thought it an ideal idea to bring along cards. There are so many card games you can play, and when packing for a camping trip the space available is often limited.
Mosquitoes and black flies can ruin an otherwise delightful trip, so bug spray or smoke from a campfire are beneficial. And finally, I would want to remember my cell phone, even if there was no cell connection, I would hope to get some awesome pictures to remind me of the fun I had while camping.
The list can be quite long, and it is good to begin making a list well in advance of your trip. It is unhandy to get to your campsite and realize you have no matches to light your campfire!
Hello again! This site to camp at looks really good and to go hiking would be lots of fun. Definite is a good idea to review things to bring so that you at least have things like lighters or matches and anything else.
As a beginner with an interest in camping and outdoor activities, I find the article about Havasu Falls in Grand Canyon, Arizona, quite exciting. YOu mentioned several fun activities that can be enjoyed during a camping trip, such as hiking, canoeing, fishing, and even stargazing. However, there is one activity that caught my attention, and I’d like to learn more about it.
They are scuba diving and snorkelling, which seem to be fun activities at Havasu Falls. I’m familiar with snorkeling, where you wear a mask and snorkel tube to swim on the water’s surface while observing underwater life. But I’m not quite sure about scuba diving. Can you explain what scuba diving entails and how it differs from snorkeling? What equipment is needed for scuba diving, and is it suitable for beginners with little experience in water sports?
I’m curious to know more about scuba diving because exploring underwater life and swimming in the aqua blue water of Havasu Falls sounds like a fantastic experience. If you could provide some insights into scuba diving and its suitability for beginners at this location, it would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, are there any specific spots or areas near Havasu Falls that are particularly recommended for scuba diving, or is it possible to do it directly at the falls?
Thank you.
Hello again. I like this location a lot. Has many sights and camping, hiking and swimming. You can go scuba diving at this location. They have places along the river that are dive sites. As far as scuba diving, I would recommend diving with someone who has experience on my first scuba dive as to be cautious and you can learn much about scuba diving. It would be better to dive with a tank and flippers and any other important gear for this. At locations they may offer to rent equipment for diving and have an instructor. I would call ahead to know if they have these options like an instructor and renting equipment. Other than that, someone would have to buy scuba diving equipment. That would be the way I would go about scuba diving if I never have before. Similar to ocean diving but I don’t like sharks and would not dive in the ocean unless was more experienced and with people who dive often. I like the idea myself to go scuba diving sometime but have not done in a few years. Maybe would be like falling off a bike and would adjust to that. They say Lake Mohave has the clearest water to go scuba diving in. I wrote an article about that location also. Depending where someone scuba dives in the water could be a bit deep or you’re like 15-20 feet under the water for instance. I’m not sure if they would let someone scuba dive at the falls like within feet that would have to ask if they would allow that.
This has been on my bucket list for a while, but honestly, it has also always seemed like a daunting endeavor. Hiking and camping at Hualapai Hilltop and Supai Az 86435 sound absolutely thrilling, and your site has provided valuable information, from the essentials to bring along, the various activities to enjoy, and even the pet policy.
Thanks to your detailed insights, I feel more confident and excited about this incredible camping adventure. I can’t wait to make it happen and cross this off my bucket list!
Hello! I wrote a couple articles about this location and has many activities people can have fun with at that place.
I think that camping is a very underrated activity that many people don’t necessarily consider right off the bat when deciding to plan a vacation for themselves, their family or even family reunions. But camping vacations can provide the opportunity to participate in a number of outdoor activities that might not be so readily available in a suburban or inner city environment where many people are located today.
The Havasu Falls Grand Canyon Az camping gives the vacationer the opportunity to enjoy canoeing, kayaking and even fishing and looks like a beautiful place to do all those activities.
Hello again! This and many locations would be really good to spend at and get out and enjoy nature and canoeing and hiking and other things. A well-planned vacation is something I would be looking into, and camping is different to many people, and most would enjoy.
