Woods Canyon Lake Az Camping
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like to camp at new locations. Woods Canyon Lake Road Forest Road 105 Payson Az 85541 (928) 339-5000 A nice place to take a vacation get away from things. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up your camp site. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages. Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Group site nonelectric at $230 per night. Can rent cabins and there is lodging in the area. Woods Canyon is located at north central Arizona. There are a few hiking trails at the park that are a few miles long. Wear hiking boots or sneakers with good cushion soles on the trails. Walking, Jogging, Mountain bike riding are popular activities. Have a canteen with cold water for your hiking adventure.
There may not be cell phone connection available. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute to keep in contact with people in your group. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke is good to keep flying insects away from your campsite.
Has a 52-acre lake that is surrounded by ponderosa pine. Canoes, Kayaks on the lake to paddle around and look at the sites. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Bring fishing poles as there are many species of fish in the lake. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. Have a cookout after back at camp over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food. Wash the dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping.
Lay out in the sun and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or a raft can be lots of fun to float down a river on the current or play around on a lake. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and look a scenery. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. At night they can play laser tag and hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on the lake or river. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Pet policy. Dogs are allowed and must be attended to at all times. Visitors who bring nuisance pets will be asked to leave. These are some of the activities to have at the park and there is much more.
