A camping experience you would never forget. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Can rent a cabin and there is lodging in the area.                      Blue Ridge Mountain loop trail is a 9.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail. Take a hike on the many trails throughout the area. Have good boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for your hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink on long hikes. Walking, Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, and jogging are popular activities.                                                                                                                               There may not be any cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute to talk to others in your camping group. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. The campfire helps keep flying insects away from your camp.                                                                                      Canoes, Kayaks, to paddle around and look at the scenery. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip your boat over. Have life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities.

              Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Take your fish that you catch back to the camp and cook them over the campfire or grill for dinner.                                                                                                 Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many animals in the area that can smell your food from a distance. Washing the dishes cuts the smell and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from your camp and at night while people are sleeping.

               Lay out and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Can go inner tubing or rafting on the river and go with the flow of the current and enjoy the day floating down stream.                                                                                                                                                       There are many activities you can have such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer.                                           Walk on paths or trails and go sight see. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag at night and hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river.                                                                    Pet policy- Dogs are welcome and must be kept on a leash. Please clean up after your pets.
