Lake Pleasant AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp a new location. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com, 41835 N. Castle Hot Springs Rd. Unit Operations Center Morristown, AZ 85342 (602 506-2930 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday usual things. Lake Pleasant Regional Park offers 148 sites for Rv and tent camping within the Campgrounds. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Each developed site has water, electricity, dump station, a covered ramada, a picnic table, barbecue and fire ring. There are several short hiking trails and a couple almost 10 miles in length. Wear good boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for any trail hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way. Walking, jogging, and Mountain bike riding are popular activities.
There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkie would be a good substitute to talk to other campers in your group. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Have a canoe, kayak, to paddle around the lake and to look at the scenery. If you travel on a river there are strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Have life jackets for safety purposes is suggested. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Bring your fishing poles as there are many kinds of fish to be caught. To date there are 12 species of fish at Lake Pleasant. There are white bass, striped bass, Largemouth bass, bluegill, white and black crappie, big mouth buffalo fish and more. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Take your catch back to your campsite for a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are lots of animals in the area that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes keeps them clean and reduces the smell of food. Try not to leave food out while away from your campsite or when people are sleeping at night.
Lay out on the shore and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft and have fun in the water or relax. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag at night and hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river. Pet policy- Lake pleasant has several parks around it where you can take your dog for a walk or go fishing with them. The park features paved trails for walking along with picnic areas, benches, shelters and restrooms for public use. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more.
