Greetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at different locations for vacation. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 2250 South Main ST Delta CO 81416 (970) 874-6600 A nice place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place for your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Rv- Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Rent a cabin and there is lodging in the area. There are a few trails people can hike along on. Wear good boots with cushion soles to hike anywhere. Long trails you can do a backpacking adventure and make a temporary camp to continue the next day. Have a canteen with cold water to drink along the way. Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, walking, and jogging are popular activities.
There may not be cell phone connection in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute to talk to people in your camping group. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away.
Canoes, Kayaks, to paddle around to look at things and enjoy the scenery. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip your boat over. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles and there are many species of fish to catch. Carson Lake has lake trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and walleye. Can go fishing from a boat or from the shore. Take your catch back to camp and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many kinds of animals in the woods that can smell food. Washing your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from your camp and at night while people are sleeping.
Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or a raft to play around in the water or to just relax. There are lots of activities you can play corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Board games or play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove with others. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails to sight see. Lay on a hammock to rest and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellation. Skip stones in the lake or river. Pet policy- Dogs are welcome and must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. These are some of the activities you can have and there are more. Such a beautiful place, so much to do, so much to see. I could visit and never want to leave.
The thought of turning off my cell phone and spending time in nature is mouthwatering.
Fishing for some of the amazing sounding fish and cooking them “fresh” is something i have done in the past and your description makes me want to do it again.
