Rogers Lake AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 10 miles Southwest of Flagstaff Forest RD. 231 Flagstaff, AZ 86001 (928) 679-8000 Looking for a good place to take a vacation get away from your everyday things. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Have an Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. There are cabins and lodging in the area. At Rogers Lake AZ, there are several small trails and a few long trails nearby. Wear good boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for this hiking adventure. Have a backpack for hiking long trails and set up a temporary overnight camp and continue the next day. Have a canteen with cold water to drink along the way. There are many activities such as Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, 3 or 4 wheeler, walking and jogging are popular activities. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Walkie talkies would be a good substitute to have for your camping group to communicate. Have a camera to take photos of the awesome scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Canoes, Kayaks, to paddle around and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are a variety of fish such as walleye, brown trout, redbreast sunfish, crappie, rainbow trout, perch, and largemouth bass. Whether your fly-fishing, bait casting or spinning, your chances of getting a bite here are good. Take your catch back to the campsite and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell food cooking and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from your campsite or at night while people are sleeping.
Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an inner tube or raft to play around in the water or relax. Can also float downstream on the current of a river and enjoy the scenery and enjoy the day. There are many activities such a corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games and cards. Throw around a football or Frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag at night and hide-and-seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river.
Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic tables. Take long walks on paths or trails and go sight see. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Pets are allowed and must be restrained on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. These are some activities you can have at the park.
