Ashurst Lake AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com Forest Service Rd. 82 Flagstaff, AZ 86001 (928) 526-0866 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from every day things. Then this is could be the place for you. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages. An Rv- Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook ups. There are cabins for rent and lodging in the area. Ashurst Lake is 230 acres in the Coconino National Forest and has several hiking trails. The longer trails someone can go backpacking overnight and continue the next day. Have boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for any hiking trails. Canteen with cold water to drink along the trails. There are activities such as Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, walking, and jogging are popular. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Have a set of walkie talkies to be able to talk to other campers in your group. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Have a canoe, kayak, to paddle around the lake or river to look at the sights. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. There are channel fish, catfish, rainbow trout, brook trout, bluegill, and northern pike. Anyone 10 years and older will need a fishing license. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. There are animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing the dishes cuts back on the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night when people are sleeping. Lay out on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft and float down a river and follow the flow of the current. Play around on the raft on a lake or just relax and enjoy the scenery. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on the lake or river. Take long walks through the woods on paths or trails and enjoy the scenery. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Can lay on a hammock to rest and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Pets must be restrained or on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. No horses allowed at the campground. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. Leave a message in the comment section at the bottom. Can leave a message at my e-mail also. Enjoy your camping adventure wherever you decide to go camping. Jeff

You are really knocking the ball out of the park with these vacation destination reviews Jeff, this one to the Ashurst Lake AZ Camping area would be a tremendous vacation and provide for a wide variety of outdoor and local activities, sure to be fun for the entire family.
No cell phone signal often leads to the best vacations, so I wouldn’t fret about that at all but rather lean into and maybe convince the fam to take a break from the electronic devices all together.
I will definitely bring my fishing poles so I can wet a line and look forward to experiencing all the wildlife the area has to offer as well.
Thanks for the reply. I wrote a bunch of articles and hoping the photos are appearing as were placed. Sometimes I noticed the pics have not been appearing on my end and if there not trying to fix the situation. I think most the articles I wrote are decent enough. A long hull starting a website, but I’m determined.
