A heavily wooded area with the Blue Ridge Reservoir nearby. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Can have an RV-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups. There are cabins in the area and lodging.                                                                                                         There are some hiking trails people can enjoy at this location. Wear boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for your feet on the trails. Can go backpacking and make a temporary camp for the night and continue the next day on your camping adventure. Have a canteen with cold water to drink along the way hiking. There are activities such as Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, walking, and jogging that are popular.                                                                                            There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies for a substitute to be able to talk to people in your hiking group. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away from your camp. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later.                                                                                                                              Canoe, kayak, to paddle around the lake and look at the scenery. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Boating on a river there are strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun.                                                                                                Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to catch. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. There are rainbow trout, sunfish, and other species. Whether your bait casting, spinning, or flyfishing, your chances of getting a bite here are good.                                                                                                                            Have a cookout back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell your food cooking and come to your camp hungry.                                                                                                                                           Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water.  Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while your away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping.                                                                                                                                  Lay out in the sun and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to float around on the lake and enjoy the day. Tubing on a river you can float with the current downstream.                                                                                 There are activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove.                                               There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellation. Skip stones on a lake or river.                                                                   Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer.                                                                                                    Pet Policy- Dogs must be contained on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. No horses allowed in the campground.                                                                                                                    These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more.
