Knoll Lake AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com Rim Road Forest Lakes, AZ 85931 (928) 527-3620 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from the everyday things. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. RV- camper with a generator in case there are no power hook ups available. There may be cabins and lodging in the area. There are hiking trails in the Knoll Lake camping area. Have good boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for your hiking adventure. Canteen with cold water to drink along on the trails. Can go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue the next day. There are lots of activities such as mountain bike riding, walking, and jogging that people do on the hiking trails. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute to have to communicate with other people in your camping group. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfire smoke helps keep flying insects away from your camp. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Have a canoe or kayak to paddle on a lake or river and go site see. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish on a boat or along the shore. There are rainbow trout, brown trout, and brook trout. Fish deep at knoll, the lakes depth hides some huge lunker trout. Take your catch back to your camp and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while your away from the campsite and at night when people are sleeping. Lay out and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warm. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water. Can float downstream on a river and flow with the current. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a lake or river. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Pets must be restrained or on a leash. Please clean up after your pet. No horses allowed in the campground. Licensed off road vehicles may be used only for entering or leaving the campsite. These are some of the activities you can have at the park. Leave a message at the bottom comment section if you like. Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the information on Knoll Lake, it looks like a fantastic location and I would love to get there one day, do you know if there are any other camp sites within hiking distance as I like to hike between sites and set up camp in new places each day?. I had never considered getting a set of Walkie Talkies for camping but this is a great idea. Do you have any advice on what to look for in a good set of Walkie Talkies as I don’t know anything about them?
Thanks Again Jeff
Pete
Hello! I dont know about this location way too much. I dont think there are any other locations within walking distance. The location does look pretty good for a vacation. There is also Havasu Falls Az that looks really good also and has water falls along the way on hiking paths. The Grand Canyon is also there and there are a few places you could camp at there also. I’m thinking about camping at the Grand Canyon sometime and I like the idea of canoeing or kayak the river. Havasu Falls has several water falls along their trails and I’m liking the idea of going there sometime. I have a set of walkie talkies that someone has borrowed from me a little while ago. I typed on amazon long distance walkie talkie and chose from there and they worked pretty well, I mention about that because you never know if what area you camp at that you just might not have cell phone connection.
