;;Havasu Falls AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 699 London Bridge Rd. Lake Havasu City, Az 8403 (928) 855-2784 (928) 448-2141 reservations Looking for a place to take a vacation away from the everyday things. Then this may be a good and memorable place to take a vacation. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hookups available. There may be cabins to rent and lodging in the area. The Havasupai tribe requires reservations to camp at Havasupai Campground. Strongly recommended not hiking down without reservations. You may end up hiking out the same day. Recommended making reservations several months in advance before your travel dates. To hike to Havasupai, start at hilltop. Descend the trail to the village of Supai (8 miles). Check in at the office and pay your fees. Continue down canyon another 2 miles to the campground. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for groups of campers to communicate with each other. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. May be a good idea to have some sort of medical kit in case needed. Can go canoeing or kayaking and paddle around to look at the scenery. Wear a life jacket is a good idea for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are carp, sunfish, catfish (channel), crappie, largemouth bass, and Tulipa to be caught. Have a cookout back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many species of animals that can smell food cooking and can come to your camp hungry. It’s always good to be aware of your surroundings and take notice of what animals are in the area. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from your camp and at night when people are sleeping. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft and play around in the water. There are lots of activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones in a lake or a river. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic tables. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay in a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Dogs are allowed at Havasu Falls Rv-Resort, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. There is a 2-pet limit. Pets are not allowed in the horseshoe pits or game areas. You must clean up after pets in the resort and surrounding areas. Aggressive breads (i.e. Pit Bulls, Doberman Pinscher, rottweilers) are not permitted. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. I used to have a friend who frequently went to Havasu Falls. I’ve never been, but I can see what he saw in it. I always thought Arizona was just an extra hot, extra miserable desert. What a surprise! This is SUCH a beautiful place! I would LOVE to go there some day…
And what a complete and thoughtful article about what all you should plan for, before going there. It’s so much easier than having to learn the hard way…especially if it’s a vacation that you need in order to relax.
Good article! Thanks,
Anna
The article about Havasu Falls camping vacation in Arizona is truly captivating and inspiring. The detailed description and stunning visuals of the falls and its surroundings paint a vivid picture of the natural beauty awaiting visitors. One aspect that could enhance the article further is providing more information on the availability of facilities and amenities at the campground. This would help readers better prepare for their trip and ensure they have all the necessary supplies for a comfortable stay.
Overall, this article serves as a fantastic guide for those seeking an unforgettable camping experience at Havasu Falls. It captures the essence of this natural wonder, provides valuable insights, and ignites a sense of wanderlust. I’m inspired to plan my own adventure to Havasu Falls and immerse myself in its breathtaking beauty. Thank you for this amazing article.
I have been on a few hiking trips in the past few years and this one sounds very interesting and exciting. The only thing that I may not like is the fact that their is no cell phone connectivity. Yes I understand enjoying the nature and scenery is more important but I like posting live content of my trips and experiences.
Hi! I mention there may not be cell phone activity in some places and having a back up plan in case there isn’t with walkie talkie suggestion if that situation would arise. I would maybe call the park to know for sure how the connection situation gets.
Havasu Falls looks like a great place to camping, I haven’t gone in about 20 years now. I have some equipment but I haven’t got a chance to use it. I like that you can go fishing, kayaking, or canoeing. I hoping to be able to travel and camp at places around the USA, I will definitely keep Havasu Falls on my list.
Cheers

The author writes from authority as he is a camper himself. This lends credibility to the site. It seems the site is offering a review of various camping sites the author has visited and is making recommendations about. For someone who enjoys the outdoors and the camping experience, this would be a relevant site. This site would also be good for someone looking for a good place to go camping or perhaps did not know what camping sites are available to visit.
I found this article to be very informative and helpful for anyone planning a camping trip. You provide a lot of useful tips and suggestions for things to bring and activities to do while camping. I especially appreciated the reminder to be aware of your surroundings and take notice of what animals are in the area. My question is, “How difficult is it to obtain reservations at Havasupai Campground? Thank you for recommending making reservations several months in advance, but I’m curious if it’s possible to get a reservation closer to the travel dates or if they tend to fill up quickly. This article has inspired me to plan a camping trip soon, and I’ll definitely be referring back to these tips.
Hello! I would call at least a few months in advance of wanting to go camping there and about any reservations and more information of current things. Maybe a year ahead I would look into contacting them and maybe do some sort of reservations in that area. This location does look to me to be a real good place to go camping as well as in the Grand Canyon locations. The Grand Canyon is something I plan to visit sometime in the future. Would be a real good sight see and other things. Boating on the river I have the thought would be lots of fun and memorable.
Jeff, I’ve already read your camping suggestions and they are wonderful. In this article, the important points of the necessary equipment and entertainments available in the area are well mentioned. Even he mentioned that there may not be cell phone connection available in some areas! Thank you for the details you noted.
With his descriptions I fell in love with The Havasupai and I recommend reading this article.
I really like the sound of this camping site, it is quite different to the usual ones in the sense it offers many other activities, I love the setting especially with the water nearby! Appreciate your efforts with the list of resources, it makes it much easier for folks who are new to camping!
Do you have any amazing places in the UK or what’s the best affordable place to camp?
Thankyou and have a great day!
Hello! Havasu Falls is one of my favorite places of the articles that I have written. i have another article called Camping Adirondack Mountains. Thats in N.Y. state here in the U.S. Has real big mountains and excellent scenery. I live in the Apalachin mountains, and these are tiny mountains compared to Adirondacks that are a 3-hour drive from here. The Adirondack Mountains are my second favorite and Havasu Falls is my favorite. The finger lakes region or area is a nice area west of where I’m at 3 hours away. I wrote an article about that area also. I haven’t written any articles about outside the U.S. yet. I thought about England and a couple places in Europe to look into about camping. The Adirondack mountains I think would be more affordable than a lot of places I’d imagine. That would cover hiking really good and can go canoeing and other things. Nice to hear from you and hope I helped out with this message.

You mentioned all the things you can and can’t do while there, and some of the things someone might wish to have with them while camping at Hasavu Falls. Brilliant article, I really enjoyed reading it!
Thank-you for such a great article about camping at Hasavu Falls in Arizona!
Wow, this post on Havasu Falls, AZ camping vacation has me daydreaming of an unforgettable adventure! 💫🌄 The vivid descriptions and breathtaking photos truly capture the allure of this natural wonder. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Havasu Falls last summer, and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
The turquoise waters cascading down the vibrant red rocks create a mesmerizing sight that stays etched in your memory forever. Camping near the falls allowed me to wake up to the soothing sound of rushing water and immerse myself in the tranquility of nature.
Exploring the surrounding hiking trails and witnessing the ethereal beauty of Mooney Falls and Beaver Falls was an experience that left me humbled by Mother Nature’s majesty. Trust me, if you’re seeking a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Havasu Falls is the ultimate destination. Prepare to be enchanted by its sheer beauty and find yourself rejuvenated in its peaceful embrace. 🏕️🌿✨
This is another excellent review of a terrific summer vacation spot Jeff, I was excited to see all that the Havasu Falls AZ Camping area has to offer and can not wait to check it out sooner rather than later as the weather is already driving me outdoors.
I don’t have any problem that the Havasupai tribe requires reservations if you are going to use their campground and would actually prefer that because nobody wants to hike all the way down there only to have to be turned away for lack of space on the grounds.
I look forward to playing out in the sun and hanging out in the water on a hot day.
