;;Show Low Lake Az Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 5925 Wagon Wheel LN. Lakeside (928) 537-4126 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have found the place you want. Review stuff to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept chilled. An Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no hook ups available. There may be cabins for rent and lodging in the area. The show low network offers over 60 miles of hiking and biking trails. There are many nearby hiking trails, such as the White Mountain Trail System and the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest. Someone can go backpacking and set up a temporary overnight camp and continue hiking the next day. Have good cushion sneakers or boots for trail hiking. Have a canteen with cold water to drink on the trails. Horseback riding, mountain bike riding, walking and jogging are popular activities. There may not be any cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good idea to have for a group of campers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Would be a smart idea to have some sort of first aid kit in case needed. Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around to look at the scenery. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Have life jackets for safety purposes. Bring your fishing poles as there are fish to be caught in the lake. Can go fishing from a boat or from along the shore. There is rainbow, brown, brook, and tiger trout, Largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye and northern pike in the lake. Take your catch back to the campsite to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many species of animals in the forest that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing the dishes helps cut the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Someone could store the food in a vehicle so animals don’t get into the food. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water or just relax. Can float on a river on the current and float downstream and enjoy the day. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones in a river or lake. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Have a hammock to relax on and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Pets are allowed and must be kept on a leash at all times, and pet owners are required to clean up after there pets. Pets are not allowed in the lake. These are some of the activities you can have and there is more. Leave a message at the bottom in the comment section if you like. This looks like a really cool vacation to the Show Low Lake Az Camping area Jeff, I think I might have to head a few states to the west of me and check it out at some point this summer. I love how you provide so many small tips for each camping area that you review that will benefit folks tremendously as they plan these summer vacations.
It would be beneficial to know whether the camping area has hookups or rental cabins available before committing to how I am going to get there. I don’t really want to drive the RV all that way if they don’t have hookups because I do not have a generator.
Hello! Does have power hookups. If you want to verify call (928) 537-4126. I would call to be sure before I would drive an Rv any distance. There are also cabins in that area and I would call to reserve or about power hook-ups. That way you’re not disappointed and would be knowing what to expect. It does have 10 sites that have power, and I would call them to be sure ahead of time.
Wow, this article really captures the essence of a perfect camping vacation at Show Low Lake! I love the detailed tips on setting up a campsite, the variety of outdoor activities available like hiking, biking, and water sports, and the reminder about bringing insect repellent – those mosquitoes can be quite pesky! The mention of capturing the beautiful scenery through photos is spot on, and having walkie talkies for group communication is a clever idea. I appreciate the pet policy reminder as well. Looking forward to planning my getaway to this picturesque destination!
Hello! This would be a good place to visit and much to do.
