;;Yuma Lake Az, Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 6275 S. Avenue 8 1/2 E. Yuma, Az 85365 (866) 217-8111 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have just found the place you would like. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. At lake Yuma can make you feel away from it all whether you’re a handful of miles away from the city limits or far out there. Many visitors enjoy the desert scenery and rugged mountains around Yuma. Overnight camping adds a look at starry skies undimmed by light pollution. Look for a place to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent at a flat location. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are no hook-ups available. Can maybe rent a cabin and there may be lodging in the area. There are several trails in and around the area. Ranging from a couple miles to several miles long. For longer trails can have a backpack and set up an overnight camp and continue hiking the next day. A pair of boots or sneakers that have good, cushioned soles. Have a canteen with cold water to drink along your trail hiking. There may not be cell phone connection in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for campers to communicate with each other. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Have insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away. Would be a good idea to have a small first aid kit if needed.
Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Would be a good idea to have life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species in the lake to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are largemouth bass, rainbow trout, bluegill, sunfish, channel catfish, and white amur. Take your catch back to the campsite to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the area and can smell your food from a long way away and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Storing your food in a vehicle helps keep your food safe. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Have a swim at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or raft to play around in the water or just relax. There are many activities you can have such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Can play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on the lake or river. Can have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic tables. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Pets are allowed and must be on a leash no longer than six feet. Please clean up after your pet and dispose in the proper waste receptacles. Pets must be kept under your control at all times. These are some of the activities you can have on your vacation and there is more. Leave a message at the bottom in the comment section. Hello! always a good idea to add extra things if possible, about camping or any other thing. Thanks for additional things to know about.
i like your description of the lake and it’s closeness to nature. Your description of the lakes and it’s availability of fish shows it’s a place that can take away from my white collar activities. And I am sure they are experiences my wife and son will look forward to enjoy. Top of it are the large play grounds for my family like you described. Thank you for another relaxation point.
