;;Bear Lake Ut Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and new locations to camp at. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 940 N. Bear Lake Blvd Garden City (435) 946-3343 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have just found the location you’re looking for. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Bear Lake has more than 150 campsites to choose from. Camp anyway you want at Bear Lake. You can find and reserve your spot early. East side areas are located on the east side of the lake. Located near attractions, friendly service, great amenities. Pets welcome and great for weekend getaways. Has magical landscapes throughout Utah. Soaring arches, crimson canyons and slickrock landscapes stretching to the horizon serve as icons for the region. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent on a flat area. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv-camper with a generator in case there are no hook-ups available. Can rent a cabin and there may be lodging in the area. Along the shore of Bear Lake State Park has 3 recreation areas. Rendezvous beach, Bear Lake Marina, and east side, which comprises several more segments. The park also hosts annual events such as Raspberry days. Along Bear lakes northern part is the border with the state of Idaho. There are several trails at Bear Lake to choose from to go hiking. Have sneakers or boots with good soles for your trail hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way. Someone could go backpacking and set up a temporary overnight camp and then continue your hiking the next day. Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, walking and jogging are popular activities. There are 16 recommended OHV and ATV trails easily accessible from Bear Lake. The Garden City Canyon Trail takes you to the scenic Bear Lake overlook. The sinks trail is lined with Douglas firs and aspens and leads to the deep limestone sinkholes and onto Peters Sink, one of the coldest places in the U.S. There may not be any cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for groups of hikers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a first aid kit in case ever needed. Have a canoe or kayak and someone could paddle around the lake and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Life jackets for safety purposes. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun. Scuba diving and snorkeling are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are lots of fish to be caught at the lake. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are cutthroat trout, bear lake sculpin, Bonneville whitefish, bear lake whitefish, Bonneville cisco, Utah sucker, Utah chub, speckled dace, reside shiner, lake trout, green sunfish, yellow perch, and common carp to catch fishing. Take your catch back to the campsite and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other in rinse water. There are many species of animals that can smell the food you’re cooking and may come near your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp and at night when people are sleeping. Storing food in a vehicle helps keep the food away from the animals. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water or to just relax. There are many activities such as corn, hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Kids can skip stones on the lake or on the river. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on a path or trail to look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Nearly all of Bear Lakes campsites are dog friendly. Spanning the southern half of the lake, you’ll find a variety of options including tent camping, primitive camping, and Rv spots. Some camp sites are adjacent to beaches, dogs are not allowed on developed beaches. Must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your dog. Pets must not be left unattended. These are some of the activities you can have at the park. Leave a message at the bottom comment section if you like. Can click on my e-mail and leave a message also. Enjoy your camping adventure wherever you decide to go camping. Jeff

Thank you for the wonderful Bear Lake, Utah, camping vacation article! It sounds like a fantastic destination for nature enthusiasts like my family. I have a few questions about the camping options at Bear Lake:
-Are there designated dry camping areas, and what facilities are available for campers who choose this option?
-We have a travel trailer as well. Do they have full hookups? What amenities can we expect at the campgrounds offering these services?
-Do you need reservations? If so, is it necessary to make reservations in advance to secure a spot?
-Is the lake easily accessible from the campgrounds for paddle boarding?
Your article piqued my interest in planning a camping vacation at Bear Lake, and I want to ensure I’m well-prepared for the experience. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and I’m eagerly looking forward to your responses!
Hello! good to hear from you. This site does look like a nice place to take a vacation. I checked on the power hook ups and there are many power hook ups available. Many sites have electric, water and showers. Depending on where you get situated at. Should be easy access to the lake for the most part. It may be smart to call in advance to make reservations to be knowing before you would arrive. You can call them at (435) 946-3343 to ask them anything you may want to know.
