;;Lake Mohave Az Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. mycampingvacationsites.com 601 Nevada Way Boulder City, NV 89005 (702) 293-8990 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have just found the place that you would like to go to. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Lake Mohave Is a reservoir on the Colorado River between Hoover Dam and Davis Dam in cottonwood valley, defining the border between Nevada and Arizona. The lake surface area is 26,500 acres. Locate a place to set up your camping site. Build a campfire and pitch your tent on a flat area. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An RV-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. There may be cabins to rent and lodging in the area. There are several small hiking trails in the area to choose from. Wear boots or sneakers with good, cushioned soles on your trail hikes. Have a canteen or two with cold water to drink along the way. Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, ATV, walking and jogging are popular activities. There may not be any cell phone activity available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for groups of campers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a first aid kit in case ever needed. Have a canoe or a kayak to paddle around and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Have a life jacket for safety purposes. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Snorkeling and scuba diving are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are striped bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, green sunfish, bluegill, black crappie, Rainbow trout, Cutthroat Trout, Razor back sucker, channel catfish, threadfin shad, Bonytail (Gila elegans) and common carp. Take your catch back to the campsite and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell your food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite or at night while people are sleeping. Storing your food in a vehicle keeps the food away from the animals. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around on or to just relax. There are lots of games such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes to play. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play a board game or cards. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a river or lake. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer. There may be a miniature golf course to play on. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. Leave a message if you like in the comment section at the bottom. Hello! This location is a good place to take a vacation. Many activities to choose from. They say Lake Mohave has the clearest water in that state. Could also go scuba diving. They actual have locations where to scuba dive from at this location and have an instructor for those who have not scuba dived. Scuba diving in the ocean is a common thing but scuba diving in other places has a different experience.
Wow, this article really captures the essence of a Lake Mohave camping vacation! The detailed tips on setting up a campsite, hiking trails, water activities, and even food storage are incredibly helpful.
