Bonaire is a small island located in the southern Caribbean, just off the coast of Venezuela and part of the Dutch Caribbean. The Bonaire National Marine Park completely surrounds the island, protecting over 6,700 acres (2,700 hectares) of coral reef, seagrass beds, and mangroves.

Why Dive Bonaire
Unlike many destinations that require boat trips to reach dive sites, Bonaire offers more than 80 marked shore dive sites you can reach by simply walking in from the beach. Its calm, clear waters and abundant marine life make it perfect for divers of all levels.
You’ll discover:
? Healthy coral gardens full of color
? Sea turtles gliding gracefully
? Squid, seahorses, and eels hiding in the reef
? Occasional nurse sharks and rays
Night diving here is magical too — with bioluminescence and nocturnal creatures coming alive after dark.
Tips for Divers
✔️ Rent a truck so you can drive around the island and access dive sites at your own pace.
✔️ Bonaire requires all divers to attend a short orientation and pay a marine park fee, which goes toward reef conservation.
✔️ Bring or rent a sturdy dive boot and open-heel fins — many shore entries are rocky.

Best Time to Dive
Bonaire is a year-round destination thanks to its warm water and excellent visibility. Peak season is December–April, but the shoulder seasons are quieter and just as beautiful.
