Lay out and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around on and enjoy the day. There are activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Take long walks in the woods on paths and trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. There are playgrounds at the park for kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a river or lake. Pet Policy- Pets need to be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Don’t leave your dogs unattended. Carry poop bags and throw them away in the trash. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. Can leave a message in the comment section at the bottom. Yosemite West Lake Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 6554 Greeley Hill RD. Ste 31 Coulterville, Ca 95311 (209) 878-3847 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from every day things. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. This is a very basic camping place. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. RV-Camper with a generator in case there are no hook-ups available. There are cabins in the area and some lodging. Located in Yosemite National Park, there are many hiking trails to choose from. Would be a good idea to plan out your hiking days. Have good boots or sneakers with decent cushioned soles. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way on trails. Could go backpacking and set up an over night temporary camp and continue the next day. Mountain bike riding, horseback riding, and jogging are popular.
There may not be cell phone connection in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for a group of campers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away.
Canoe, kayak, to paddle around and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. There are strong currents and rapids on a river that can tip over your boat. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Can go scuba diving and snorkeling on a lake or river. Wind sailing and water ski are popular activities. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. People 16 years and older must have a valid California Fishing license. The sportfishing license must be attached to outer clothing at or above waistline so it is plainly visible. The fish identified are various forms of trout. Rainbow, brown and brook trout are plentiful. Fish from a boat or from along the shore. Take your catch back to the camp and cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the area that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes.

Hello, glad you shared your camping tips! You have a lot of useful information about what to bring and what to expect when camping. I recommend adding some specific tips on how to prepare for your stay in the wilderness, such as using protective gear for hiking and camping, such as tents, sleeping bags, and first aid. Also, you could add information about how to follow the rules in the national park, such as rules about lighting fires and littering. In addition, you can suggest alternatives for activities that are not possible in certain parts of the park, such as walks in case of mobile network unavailability. That said, it would be helpful to list some of the best times to visit and potential seasonal challenges, such as weather or crowds. Overall, a nicely written comment with useful tips for those planning to camp, but adding some specific information would make it even more constructive.
Thanks for the reply. I will keep in mind the new ideas and strive forward .
