;;Bartlett Lake AZ Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreeting! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 20808 Bartlett Dam Rd. Rio Verde, AZ 85262 (602) 319-4151 Looking to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have found a real good location. Review thing to bring so you don’t forget anything. Look for a place to set up your campsite. Build your campfire and pitch a tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Someone also can rent or bring their Rv-Camper. Have a generator in case there are no power hook ups available. There may be cabins to rent and lodging in the area. Bartlett Lake is located in the heart of Tonto National Forest. Has a marina with beautiful surroundings to enjoy an unforgettable Arizona day on the water. There are several small trails you can take hikes on at this location. Wear boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for any hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way. If well planned can go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue your hike the next day. Mountain bike riding, walking and jogging are popular activities on trails. There may not be any cell phone connection in some places. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for groups of campers to communicate if needed. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. First aid kit to bring along if there are any injuries. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Canoes, kayaks, to paddle around the lake and look at scenery and enjoy the day. Wear life jackets while doing any boating. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species in the lake to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. There is bluegill, flathead catfish, channel catfish, bigmouth buffalo fish, Carp, black crappie, large and smallmouth bass. Have a cookout and any fish you catch back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. There are many animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Washing your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Lay out on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water. Can also float on a river current and float downstream for the day. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on the lake or river. Have a picnic and sit on a blanket or at a picnic table. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Have a hammock to relax on and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet policy- There are no additional fees for your pets, but dogs must be well mannered and under their owner’s control at all times. Bartlett Marina has two eight passenger pontoon boats specifically for pet owners. These are some of the activities you can have while at the park. Hey again Jeff, your site is a must visit for adventurers especially camping fans!
I like how many useful information is available all in one place instead of jumping from one site to another! These sites you have being mentioning all so far seem to be awesome! They include many extra features which definitely helps attract a wide variety of individuals. I really like how a playground as well as other actitivites take place at these sites, certainly worth adding to the bucket list!
Have a great day and thanks again!
As someone who has been to Bartlett lake, I can say that it is an amazing camping spot! The trails are perfect for hiking and the scenery is breathtaking. I highly recommend bringing a camera to capture the beauty of the area. The lake offers so many activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Catching fish and cooking them over the campfire is an unforgettable experience. Just make sure to keep food away from the animals in the surrounding woods. Overall, I had a fantastic time at Bartlett lake and cannot wait to go back!
I always admire your advice on communication during camping. Communication can be a lot challenging, especially in camps that are on the remote. And like you always advise, coming with a walkie-talkie is a good alternative. That way, you will not lose communication with friends and relatives on camp. Being out of communication can put a stop to the fun in camp.
Hello! good location to camp at with many activities. That would be something to get to a camping area and find out you have no cell phone connection or on a path or trail. Good to know that the possibility of no cell phone connection would be like what. At least be able to communicate with others with a walkie talkie.
