Greetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 1500 Fool Hollows Rd. Show Low, AZ 85901 (928) 537-3680 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then you may have found the ideal place to spend some time at. Review things to bring along to be sure you have everything you need. Look for good place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept chilled. An Rv-Camper with a generator in case there are not any power hook ups available. There may be places to rent a cabin and there is lodging in the area. At Fool Hollow Lake there are hiking trails people can go and enjoy the scenery. There is a small trail and there is white Mountain Trail system that has 11 loop trails for more than 103 miles worth of trails. Access trails are located within 15 miles of the park adjacent to Sitgrieves National Forest. Have a canteen with cold water to drink along the trails. Someone could go backpacking and set up a temporary camp and continue your hiking the next day. Walking, mountain bike riding, horseback riding, and jogging are popular activities. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies may be a good idea to have to communicate with others in your camping group. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery. Bug repellent could be a good idea to have to keep those nasty mosquitoes away. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Would be a good idea to have a small first aid kit if ever needed. Canoeing and kayaking on a lake or river and paddle around to look at the scenery. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip your boat over. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Can go scuba diving and snorkeling are fun. Water ski and wind sailing are a blast. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. There are smallmouth bass, walleye, pike and trout in this 150-acre lake. Have a cookout back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soap and the other with rinse water. There are animals in the area that can smell food from a distance and come to your camp hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from your campsite or at night while people are sleeping. Storing food in a vehicle would help keep animals from getting into food. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Get an innertube or raft and play around in the water or just relax. Could float on the current of a river and float downstream and enjoy the day. There are activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a river or lake. Have a picnic on a blanket or at a picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Have a hammock to relax and read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Keep your pets on a maximum six foot leash at all times. Pets must be attended at all times. Pick up after your pet. For additional information related to pets. Visit there website or ask park staff or call phone number at top of this page. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. Leave a message if you like in the comment section below. Click on my e-mail to leave a message also. This looks like a beautiful area to go camping! Do you happen to know if there are camp hosts on site? How far away is the closest store in case additional food is needed? Thanks for the informative article! Looks like an amazing place to relax and enjoy nature for a few days (and get some hiking in as well!)

Hello! there is a park store there for any food and things if needed. Definite a good place to go trail hiking.

Hi there, Jeff.
I love the great outdoors and I love to camp. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, expertise, and your camping websites. My daughter and I have sweet memories of our camping and road trips. Now that my daughter is grown up, we now have added our two grandsons to our camping excursions. Your website is a great resource and I look forward to reading more posts.
