Alamo Lake Az Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com Alamo Road Wenden Az. 85357 (928) 669-2088 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday things. Then, you may have found the right location to camp at. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent on a flat surface. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv- camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. There may be cabins in the area for rent and lodging also. Alamo Lake State Park has 217 single-family campsites located on a hill close to the lake. The campground has 6 camping areas and 99 of the sites have hook-ups. Camp area F has 19 full hook-ups. Camp area B has 27 with water and hook-ups, the Ramada area has 12 with electric, and camp area C has 41 electric sites. Camp area A, D, and E offer dry camping. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault/flush toilets and showers. The State Park offers the pipeline Canyon Trail, which is a 2.5-mile round trip with views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There are also trails in the nearby Harquahala Mountains and Bradshaw Mountains, such as the Castle Creek Wilderness Trail and the Harquahala Peak Trail. Have cushioned sole boots or sneakers for any hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way on the trail. ATV, Mountain bike riding, horseback, walking, and jogging are popular activities. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Walkie Talkies would be a good substitute to communicate to other campers in your group. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a small first aid kit in case if ever needed. Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake and look at the scenery. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught in the lake. Can go fishing on a boat or along the shore. There are largemouth bass, crappie, redear sun fish, channel catfish, tilapia, and bluegill to be caught. Take your catch back to your campsite to have a cookout over the campfire or grill. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing your dishes helps to cut the smell of food and you have clean dishes. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance and come to your campsite hungry. Try not to leave food out while your away from your campsite and at night when people are sleeping. Someone can store food in a vehicle to keep food safe from animals. Lay out in the sun on a hot summer day and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft and lay out in the sun and have fun. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag at night and hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- All dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. Pets must be kept under control at all times. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there are more. Leave a message at the bottom in the comment section. Can click on my e mail and leave a message also. This looks like an amazing place for vacations. I don’t like places that are overcrowded as I always like to combine vacations with a more calm atmosphere for relaxing. And this looks the perfect place for me. And getting closer to nature is something we definitely need from time to time.
This is stunning scenery that you have provided Jeff, of the Alamo Lake Arizona camping area. It really makes me want to visit this location this summer if I am able. It wouldn’t be too far of a drive from my home in Oklahoma so this one will definitely be on my short list.
That must be a massive campground with 217 single-family camping sites, so I am not sure whether that would be a positive or not. Are the individual sites very large or are they all piled in on top of each other?
This site the camps are mostly far enough away from each other as most would want. A large area and should be good for anyone’s camping ideas.
