I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at different locations.   jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com                                                                                                                                                                                                                               30 S.  Chiricahua Dr.                                                                                                 Springerville,  85938                                                                                                  (928) 333-6280                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Looking for a place to take a vacation away from the everyday things. Then you may have found the location you were looking for. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything.                                                                                                                                  Sinkhole campground sits back about a mile from the 150-acre Willow Springs Lake. The campground is surrounded by Ponderosa pines and local wildlife sometimes can be seen.                           Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent on flat land. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv-camper with a generator in case there are no hook-ups available. There may be cabins for rent and lodging in the area.                                                                                                     Willow Springs trail is a 6.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near forest lakes. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, fishing, and backpacking. Have good boots or sneaker with good, cushioned soles for trail hiking anywhere. Canteen with cold water to drink along with your hiking.                                                                                                          ef5ab31e04e7997e8020a932b1406563 cropped 1686988211            There may not be any cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a small first aid kit in case needed.                                                                            97da051b17fbe3f8ad50089bfec3fda3 cropped 1686988697           Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake to look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities.                                                                   Bring your fishing pole as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There is Rainbow, brown, and tiger trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, black crappie, sunfish and catfish to be caught.                                      Take your catch back to the campsite and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water.               There are many species of animals that can smell your food cooking from a distance away and can come to your camp hungry. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes.                                                                                                                               Try not to leave food out while away from your campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Storing your food in a vehicle would be a good place to keep food away from the animals.                                 bbfab880dcc21d3d40ec8e0c75972d07 cropped 1686989611              Lay out and get a suntan on hot summer days and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to float or play around in the water.                                                                                                               There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove.                                             25fa72a7c538f80f084a12b81243d4e3 cropped 1686989947             Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on a path or trail and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer.                                                                                                   Pet Policy- Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet or kept in an Rv or indoors. Please clean up after your pets. Tents are only permitted in the designated camping areas.                                                                                                                        These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more.
