Then you may have just found the location you were looking for. Review things to bring with you so you don’t forget anything.                                                                                                                       Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build your campfire and pitch a tent at a flat location. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv-camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Can rent a cabin and there may be lodging in the area.                                                                          There are at least 3 trails at East Canyon State Park to go hiking. The trails are under 10 miles in length. Have a pair of good boots or sneakers with good, cushioned soles. Canteen with cold water to drink along any trail hiking. Horseback riding, mountain bike riding, walking, and jogging are popular activities.                                                         There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute to have for groups of campers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from the campsite. Have a first Aid kit in case ever needed.                                                          Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around a lake or river and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over a boat. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities.                        Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There is black crappie, brown trout, kokanee, salmon, splake, and tiger trout to be caught.                                                                                                                 Take your catch back to the campsite and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water.  There are many species of animals in the forest and can smell food from a distance and can come to your camp hungry.                              Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while your away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Storing food in a vehicle would keep the food from animals.                                                                                          Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water and enjoy the day.                                                                      There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove.                                                                                           Can have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails in the woods and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer.                                                There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag or hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Can skip stones on a river or a lake.                                                                                                                 These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more.
