Dixie Creek UT Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 820 N. Main Street Cedar City, UT 84721 (435) 865-3700 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your everyday usual things. Then you may have found the location you were looking for. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. There are 33 sites at the campground and partial Rv hook-ups near the marina. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent on a flat location. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv-camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Maybe rent a cabin and there may be lodging in the area. There are many hiking trails to choose from at Dixie Creek. Short trails to over 20-mile-long trails. Have good sneakers or boots with cushioned soles for any hiking. Canteen with cold water to drink along your trail hiking. Bring a backpack and set up a temporary camp and continue hiking the next day on long trails. There are activities such as horseback riding, mountain bike riding, walking and jogging that are popular. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute for groups of campers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Some sort of first aid kit in case ever needed. Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake and look at the scenery and enjoy the day. Have a life jacket for safety purposes. Water ski and wind sailing are popular. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. There are many species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, Wiper possible to catch, black crappie, brown trout, kokanee salmon, splake and tiger trout to be caught. Take your catch back to the campsite to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash you dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the forest that can smell food from a distance and come to your campsite hungry. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night when people are sleeping. Can store food in a vehicle to keep away from the animals. Lay out on the beach on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Have a swim at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or a raft to play around in the water or to just relax. There are activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Can play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. The kids can play laser tag and hide and seek at night. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river. Pet Policy- Pets are welcome. Dogs should be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pets must be attended at all times. Please clean up after your pet. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is much more.
