;;Willow Beach Az Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and new places to camp at. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 25804 N. Willow Beach Rd. Willow Beach Az 86445 (928) 767-4747 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from the everyday things. Then you may have just found the location you’re wanting. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Willow beach is surrounded by steep canyon walls along the Colorado river and is a boater’s dream destination. Many visitors choose to take a guided raft or kayak trip. Stopping at coves, hot springs and waterfalls along the way. There are over 900 locations to go camping near and around Lake Mead. Locate a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent at a flat location. Haver a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Have an Rv with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups. Can maybe rent a cabin and there is lodging in the area. There are boat rentals for power boats, canoes, at Lake Mead with marina services and other watercraft to enjoy your day. Has a lakeside convenience store, gift shop and restaurant. Has lots of wildlife and scenery to see and enjoy. There are several hiking trails under 10 miles to choose from. The Eldorado OHV trail is 27.3 miles long. Have good boots or sneakers with good cushion soles to hike anywhere. Have a canteen with cold water for along the trails. Could go on a backpacking overnight adventure and set up a temporary camp and continue the trail hiking the next day. Should plan ahead for any such activities. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Have a set of walkie talkies to communicate with other campers. Bring a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a first aid kit in case ever needed. Have a canoe or kayak to paddle around the lake or river and enjoy the day. Wear life jackets for safety purposes. Boating on a river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over your boat. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Can go fishing on a boat or along the shore. Popular fish include rainbow trout, catfish, sunfish, largemouth bass and crappie. Take your catch back to the campsite and have a cookout over the campfire or grill for dinner. Washing your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals that can smell the food you’re cooking and come near your camp hungry. Washing your dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. Try not to leave food out while away from the campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Storing food in a vehicle helps keep food away from the animals. Lay out on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have an innertube or a raft and play around in the water or just relax. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. Can play laser tag at night or hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a lake or river. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Lay on a hammock to relax and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer. Pet Policy- Pets, (dogs, cats, birds and fish only) are allowed; maximum of 2 pets per site. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside. Please clean up after your pet. Pets must be attended at all times. These are some of the activities you can have at the park and there is more. Leave a message if you like in the comment section at the bottom.
