Alpine Meadow Lake PA. Camping Vacation
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at new locations. jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com 256 Lake Rd. Stevensville, Pa. 18845 (570) 746-3742 Looking for a place to take a vacation away from your usual everyday things. Then you may have found the location you’re looking for to spend some time at. Review things to bring along in case you forget something. At Alpine Meadow Lake, look for information on trial conditions, weather forecasts, camping regulations, and any necessary permits or reservations required. That is a 200-acre campground with 2 lakes. Plan your hiking or backpacking in advance. Determine the distance and difficulty level. Look for a location to set up your camping site. Build a campfire and pitch your tent at a flat location. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept cold. An Rv-camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. Maybe rent a cabin and there could be lodging in the area. Make sure you have a compass and map. The weather at Alpine can be unpredictable. Check the weather forecast before you go and be prepared for sudden changes in temperature and precipitation. Check if campfires are allowed and if there are any specific regulations for fire safety and firewood usage. There are several trails nearby Alpine Lake and at various sizes. Have boots or sneakers with good cushion soles for your trail hiking adventure. Canteen with cold water to drink along the way on hiking trails. For long trails can plan an overnight backpacking and continue the next day. Mountain bike riding, ATV, horseback riding, walking, and jogging is popular. There may not be cell phone connection available in some areas. Have a set of walkie talkies as a substitute for groups of hikers. Have a camera to take awesome photos of the scenery to look at later. Insect Repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a first aid kit in case ever needed. Have a canoe to paddle around the lake and look at the scenery. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Stand up paddle boarding and wind sailing would be lots of fun on the lake. It provides a great body workout while you glide across the water. Water skiing and jet skiing are popular activities. There are several species of fish in the lake. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. There are largemouth bass, chain pickerel, northern pike, black crappie, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, bluegill. Take your catch back to the campsite to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food and you have clean dishes. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell your food from a distance and come to your campsite hungry. Try not to leave food out while away from your campsite or at night when people are sleeping. Storing your food in a vehicle helps keep food away from the animals. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and then take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a dip in the water to cool off. Have an innertube or raft to play around in the water or just relax. Kite boarding is similar to wind surfing but uses a large kite to harness the winds power for propulsion. Remember that water sports activities have specific rules and regulations to ensure the safety and preservation of the lake and its environment. Always follow any guidelines set by local authorities or lake management to enjoy these activities responsibly and protect the natural surroundings. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Can play board games or cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of campers can play softball or baseball. There are playgrounds at campsites for kids to play on. They can play laser tag or hide and seek at night. Have a telescope and look at the stars and constellations. Can skip rocks on a river or lake. The kids can play tug of warm hopscotch, red light green light, Simon says and have a sack race. Pet Policy- Dogs are allowed and must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Please clean up after your pet. Have a bag to dispose of waste. Have a picnic on a blanket or at the picnic table. Have food packed for outdoor eating. Bring utensils, water, sandwich’s, food, snacks, and fresh fruits with vegetables and maybe salads. Take long walks on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Have a hammock to relax on and maybe read a book. Groups of campers can play volleyball or soccer. Prepare some assortment of easy food that don’t require any utensil use. Fruits, salads, sandwiches and finger foods are a great option. Don’t forget to pack some drinks and refreshing water. Don’t forget to have sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, to protect yourself from the sun’s rays. These are some of the activities you can have at this location and there is more.
