Pack your vehicle and review things you need for any camping adventure. Choose a location for your camping site and pitch a tent. Build a campfire for some awesome tasting meals. Set a grill over the fire or bring any kind of grill. Have a cooler for food and drinks. Rent or bring an RV or Camper. Have a power generator for the site or camper. Cabins and lodging may be available near the park. This park has 15 trails for hiking. Some short and others long. Wear cushioned sneakers or boots for this hiking experience. A backpack for long hikes and bring a canteen to drink cold water. Maybe a little medical supply in case someone gets hurt. Might not have cell phone connection in some areas. Could get walkie talkies for if you do not have cell phone connection. Hike in a group is lots of fun.
At Green Lakes State Park there are 2 lakes Round and Green Lake. Could go Canoeing or kayaking on a lake or river. Rivers have strong currents and rapids sometimes. Wear a life jacket is a good idea. Tubing or rafting on a river is lots of fun. Water skiing is a blast if motorboat is allowed. Bring fishing poles as there are many kinds of fish to catch for dinner later. After dinner, be sure to wash plates in a couple medium size tubs, one with soapy water and the other with rinsing water. Animals can smell dirty plates and wander into your camp hungry. Never leave food out while your away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping.
Have a picnic and there are usually picnic tables at parks. Go for long walks in the woods. Take a dip in the water on hot summer days to cool off. Lay out and get a suntan. Get a hammock to lay on and read a book. There are usually playgrounds at parks for the Kids. Games like corn hole, ring toss are popular games. Playing catch with a ball and glove. Throw around a football or play a football game with several people. Beach volleyball is an exciting game. Tell campfire stories or play cards. Play any board game and maybe skipping stones. At night could jump in the water and the water feels warmer at night. Kids can play laser tag and looks like fun. Have a telescope and go stargazing and spot constellations. Dogs are allowed at the campground. Must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. These are some of the things someone can do on their camping adventure.
