Cranberry Lake N.Y. Camping
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and like to go camping. Cranberry Lake Campground 243 Lone Pine Rd. Cranberry Lake, N.Y. 12927 A nice place to take a vacation or a weekend getaway. Review things to bring with you and to be sure you don’t forget anything. Has a $20 fee per night and an additional $5 for out of state campers. Find a location to set up camp. Pitch a tent and build a campfire. Bring a cooler with food and beverages. A rv or a camper would be good on any vacation. A power generator for the camper or camp site for power usage. There may be cabins and lodging in the area. Go on long or short hikes on the many trails in the forest. The park has a 17.4-mile loop trail. Have a camera for photos of this memorable experience. A canteen for cold water on hikes. A backpack with what you want to bring along. Cushioned sneakers or boots to keep your feet in good condition. Cell phones may not have range in some areas where you camp. Has lots of wildlife in the Adirondack Mountains. Bicycling and jogging would be a good idea on the trails. Has more than 25 miles of foot trails. Bring your fishing poles and there are many kinds of fish to catch. Have a cookout and dinner back at camp. Wash dishes in a container with soapy water and another container with rinse water. Animals can smell food from far away and you don’t want any critters coming through your camp. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night while people are sleeping. At cranberry Lake Campground there is a beach, and someone can lay out and get a suntan and on hot summer days and take a dip in the water. At night the water fells warmer to take a swim. Can go canoeing, kayaking and boating on a lake or river. Tubing and rafting are lots of fun also. A river has strong currents, rapids and life jackets would be a good idea. Water skiing is a blast and lots of fun.
Go on a picnic and picnic tables are at state parks. Many activities such as Corm hole, ring toss, and horseshoes are popular. Throwing a frisbee or football around. Play catch with a ball and glove. Play board games or cards. There are playgrounds at parks for the kids. Play laser tag at night for kids. Get a telescope and watch stars and the constellations. Dogs are allowed at the park as long as they are kept on a leash. Are not allowed in bathing and picnic areas. For more information about pets please call (315) 848-2315. These are things to do while camping and there’s much more. Leave a message if you like in the comment section below. Click on my e-mail and leave a message.
