Taylorsville Lake State Ky Park
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at different new locations. https://mycampingvacationsites.com 1320 Park Rd. Mt. Eden KY 40046 (502) 477-8713 A nice place to take a vacation. Review things to bring so that you don’t forget anything. Look for a place to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and find a place to pitch your tent. A cooler to bring food and beverages to be kept cold. A RV-Camper with a generator in case there are not any power hook ups available. There are cabins in the area and lodging. At Taylorsville Lake State Park there are 24 miles of multi-use trails. Have good boots for this hiking adventure. A backpack for overnight temporary camp and continue your hike the next day. A canteen for cold water to drink on trails. There may not be any cell phone connection in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good replacement. A camera for awesome photos to take to look at later.
Canoe, kayak is lots of fun on a lake or river. Watch for strong currents and rapids on a river that can tip over a boat. A life jacket is a good idea to have with you. Go scuba diving and snorkeling. Water ski and wind surfing are popular. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Fish from a boat or along the shore. Take your catch back to camp and have a cookout over a campfire or grill for supper. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods and the smell of food can bring them to your camp. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night when people are sleeping. Sleeping. Follow the current downstream in an innertube or raft. Lay out at the beach and get a suntan on hot summer days and take a dip in the water to cool off. At night the water feels warmer to swim in. Lay in a hammock to relax and read a book.
Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. There are activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball and softball. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. At night they can play laser tag and hide and seek. A telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones in a river or lake. Pet policy-Dogs are allowed and must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Dogs are allowed at the tent sites. There is no pet fee. These are some of the activities and there are many more.
