John James Audubon State Park Camping
UncategorizedGreetings! My name is Jeff, and this is my camping site. I like the outdoors and to camp at various places. https://mycampingvacationsites.com 3100 US Highway 41 N Henderson KY 42420 (270) 826-2247 A nice place to take a vacation. Review things to bring along so you don’t forget anything. Look for a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. A cooler for food and beverages to be kept cold. A RV-Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook ups available. There are cabins and lodging in the area.
At John James Audubon State Park, there are many trails you can hike on. Wear a good pair of hiking boots for this camping adventure. On long hikes can bring a backpack for a temporary night camp and continue on your hike. A canteen brought for cold water to drink along the way. Mountain bike and jogging are popular activities. Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A walkie talkie set may be a good substitute in the situation. A camera for real good nature sight sees photos to look at later. Insect repellent is a good idea as there are mosquitoes and other insects in the woods. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away.
Lay out in the sun and get a suntan on hot summer days and take a dip in the water to cool off. Can float on an innertube or raft on a river and follow the currents take you down the river and enjoy the day. A canoe, kayak, are lots of fun on a river or lake. You can paddle around to anywhere on the water. A river has strong currents and rapids that can tip your boat over. Wear a life jacket for safety reasons. Can go scuba diving and snorkeling. Water ski and Wind sailing are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught. Fish from a boat or from along the shore. Take your catch back to camp and cook over a campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods that can smell food left out from a distance and clean dishes cuts the smell. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night when people are sleeping. Take long walks in the woods on trails or path and look a the scenery. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Thereare lots of activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball or soccer. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. At night they can play laser tag and hide and seek. Skip stones on a river or lake. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Pet policy- Dogs are not allowed on the trails-except the for the Eagle pen trail and Audubon Wetlands Trail. These are some of the activities you can do at the park. Leave a message in the comment section at the bottom. Click on my e-mail to leave a message also.
