I like camping and the outdoors and different places to camp.  jeff@mycampingvacationsites.com                                                                                                                                                                                                501 Township Road 261 A                                                                                         Richmond OH 43944                                                                                               (330) 222-1712                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                A good place to take a vacation. Look for a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold. A RV-camper with a generator in case there are not any power hook ups available. Would be good to have a solar generator to power anything if needed. There are cabins for rent and lodging in the area.                               At Jefferson Lake State Park, there are over 20 miles of hiking trails. Good idea to wear hiking boots or sneakers that have a decent cushion sole. A canteen for cold water to drink along any trail. Jogging and mountain biking are popular activities.                                                                                                                                                                  5da84b7c1c307e755467b79ce766315b cropped 1672257902         Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute in that situation. A camera to take along while looking at scenery to take photos to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away.                                            2b40e1b38785b72e415879ffe9f23e7d cropped 1672257980             A canoe, kayak, would be a lot of fun to paddle around the lake or river. A river has strong currents and rapids that can tip over a boat. Wear life jackets would be a good idea for safety. Water ski and wind sailing are lots of fun.                                                               Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to catch. Fish on a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout later and cook fish you catch over the campfire or grill for dinner.                        A good idea to wash your dishes as animals can smell food from a distance and come to your camp. Wash in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp and at night when people are sleeping.                                                                                             47b8f449c6861f704d6cd16521aef9f7 cropped 1672258782           Lay on the beach and get a suntan on hot summer days and the take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. Inner tubing and rafting are lots of fun. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular.                                                               There are playgrounds at the park for the kids. They can play laser tag and hide and seek. At night can look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a river or lake for fun.                                       10fbb4f09954a8b993ceb2b77e583320 cropped 1672259122              Take long walks in the woods on paths and trails to look at scenery. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. There are activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or cards. Throw around a frisbee or football. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball and soccer.                                                                                                         Pet policy- Pets are permitted at the park. Must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and cleaned up after.                                                 These are some of the activities at the park and there is much more.
