Mosquito Lake State Park OH camping
UncategorizedGreetings! I’m Jeff and this is my camping site. I like to camp and the outdoors at different locations. https://mycampingvacationsites.com
1439 State Route 305 Cortland OH 44410 (330) 637-2856 A nice place to take a vacation. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold. Has 2,483 acres of mature woodlands and expansive marshes. There are cabins to rent and lodging in the area. Mosquito Lake State Park has a 7,850-acre lake. Has an 8.4-mile multi use trail for hiking, horseback riding, Jogging and snow moiling. Wear good boots or sneakers on any hiking trails. A canteen with cold water to drink along your hike.
There may not be any cell phone connection available in some areas. A set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. A camera for scenic photos to look at later. Bug repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your camp.
A canoe, Kayak are lots of fun and can paddle around Mosquito Lake. Motor skiing and wind sailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are several species of fish to be caught. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after and bring fish to cook over the campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many animals in the woods that can smell food from a distance that may be hungry. Washing the dishes keeps them clean and cuts back on the smell. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp and at night when people are sleeping. Lay out on the beach on a hot summer day and get a suntan and take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Float around on an innertube or raft can be lots of fun. There are playgrounds at the park for kids to play on. At night they can play laser tag and hide and seek. Skip stones on the lake. A telescope to look at the stars and constellations. There are many activities at the park such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games and play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball, soccer and other games. Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and look at scenery. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. Dogs of any size are welcome with no fee. Dogs may not be left unattended and must be leashed on park grounds. These are some of the activities at the park and there are more. Leave a message if you like at the bottom of the comment section.
