I like the outdoors and like to camp at different locations.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 6301 Park Office Road                                                                                         College Corner, OH 45003                                                                                                 (513) 604-3500                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  A nice place to take a vacation. Review things to bring so you don’t forget anything. Locate a place to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold. A RV- Camper with a generator in case there are no power hook ups available. There are several cabins to choose from and lodging in the area.                                                                      At Hueston Woods State Park there are several small trails to choose from. The park has a 200-acre old growth forest with several species of animals. Wear good boots or sneakers with a good cushion sole for hiking. Mountain bike riding, walking and jogging on trails are a popular activity. A canteen brought along for cold water to drink on hikes.

Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. A set of walkie-talkies might be a good substitute. A camera to take awesome photos of scenery along the hiking trails. Insect repellent brought may be a good idea as there are mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away.

A canoe, kayak can paddle around the lake to wherever you like. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Acton lake has 625 acres for boating and other activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular activities. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities.                                                                                                                Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish in the lake. Can fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after and cook food over the campfire or grill for dinner.                                 Wash the dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. The smell of food draws animals to your camp from a distance. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of the food. Try not to leave food out while away from the camp or at night when people are sleeping.
