Review things to bring with you so you don’t forget anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. A cooler for food and beverages. A rv-camper with a generator in case there are no power sources available. The park has 71 RV campsites with access to electricity.  There are cabins and lodging are in the area.                                                                                                                                              Tar Hollow State Park has several hiking trails to hike on. The park has 604 acres of deep ravines and dense woodlands.  Wear good hiking boots or sneakers for hiking anywhere. A canteen with cold water to drink along the way on the trails. Set of walkie talkies could be a good substitute. There is lots of scenery on the trails and a camera to take awesome photos to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Water ski and wind sailing are popular activities. Scuba diving and snorkeling can be lots of fun.                                                                                                                                   Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish in the lake to catch. Can fish on a boat or from along the shore. Have a cookout back at the campsite over the campfire or grill for dinner.                                                                                                                                    Have a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. Clean dishes help cut down on the smell from food. Take a swim at night and the water feels warmer. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. Someone could lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. A group of people can play volleyball.                                                                                                                        There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. People can play board games and cards. Play catch with a ball and glove. Throw around a football or frisbee.                                There are playgrounds for the kids to play at. They can play laser tag and hide and seek. Skip stones on the river or lake. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations.                                            Pet policy- Pets must be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length and must be under control at all times. Proof of rabies shots and a physical description of the animals is required upon request. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed per campsite.                                These are some of the activities that people can enjoy at the park.   2. There are so many great locations here in Ohio for camping. I have not gotten out there in the last couple of years but I appreciate the great recommendations for parks that are well within driving distance.
