Lore City OH 43755 (740) 432-1508 A nice place to take a vacation get away. Review things to bring with you to be sure you’re not forgetting anything. Find a location to set up a campsite. Build a campfire and pitch a tent. A cooler with food and beverages kept cold to have. RV-Camper with a generator in case there are not any hook-ups available. There are cabins and lodging in the area. Salt Lake Fork has 17,229 acres of recreational facilities to suit everyone’s taste. Has 14 miles of hiking trails throughout the park. Wear a good pair of shoes with cushioned soles. A canteen to bring for cold water to drink along the way on your hike. Walking, mountain bike riding, and jogging are popular activities for along the trails.
There may not be cell phone activity available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Have a camera to take awesome photos to look at later. Bug repellent for those nasty mosquitoes. A campfires smoke helps keep flying insects away from your campsite. Have a canoe, kayak to paddle around the lake and enjoy the day. Can go water skiing or wind sailing on the lake or a river. Wear a life jacket for safety purposes. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to catch. Can fish from a boat or from along the shore. Have a cookout after back at the camp over the campfire or grill for dinner. A couple of containers to wash the dishes, one with soap and the other for rinsing. The smell of food cooking can be smelled by animals from a distance. Washing the dishes cuts the smell of food that brings animals to your camp that are hungry. Lay along the shore and get a suntan on a hot summer day and take a dip in the water to cool off. Swim at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or raft to play around in the water. There are many activities you can play such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play a board game or play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. Groups of people can play volleyball. There are playgrounds at the park for the kids to play on. They can play laser tag at night and hide and seek. A telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones on a river or lake. Take a walk through the woods on a path or trail and look at the scenery. Have a picnic as there are picnic tables at the park. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book.
