Review things to bring with you so you don’t forget anything. Find a place to set up your campsite. Build a campfire and pitch your tent. Have a cooler with food and beverages kept chilled. RV- camper with a generator in case there are no power hook-ups available. There are cabins for rent and lodging in the area. Has a dozen miles of single track intermingled with horse trails and hiking paths. Have good boots or sneakers to wear on trails. Canteen to have with cold water to drink along the way on the trails. Walking, jogging, and mountain bike riding are popular activities on the trails.
Cell phone connection may not be available in some areas. Set of walkie talkies would be a good substitute. Walk along the paths and look at the scenery and have your camera to take awesome photos to look at later. Insect repellent for those nasty mosquitoes and other insects. The smoke from a campfire helps keep flying insects away from your campsite.
Have a canoe, Kayak, to paddle around a lake or down a river. Wear a life jacket for safety reasons. Water skiing and wind sailing are a blast. Scuba diving and snorkeling are lots of fun and adventurous. Bring your fishing poles as there are many species of fish to be caught in the lake. Fish from a boat or along the shore. Have a cookout after back at the camp over a campfire or grill for dinner. Wash your dishes in a couple containers, one with soapy water and the other with rinse water. There are many species of animals in the woods and the smell of food can bring them to your camp. Washing the dishes cuts back on the smell. Lay out in the sun on hot summer days and get a suntan and take a dip in the water to cool off. Take a swim in the water at night and the water feels warmer. An innertube or raft to float around near the beach and enjoy the day. Groups of people can play volleyball on the beach. There are many activities such as corn hole, ring toss, and horseshoes. Play board games or play cards. Throw around a football or frisbee. Play catch with a ball and glove. There are playgrounds at the park for kids to play on. At night they can play laser tag or hide and seek. Have a telescope to look at the stars and constellations. Skip stones in a river or on a lake.
Take long walks in the woods on paths or trails and look at the scenery. Have a picnic and there are picnic tables at the park. Lay on a hammock to relax and read a book. Pet policy- Pets are welcome at the park. Kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet and please clean up after your pet. These are some of the activities you can have at the park.
